Coco Gauff got past the disappointment of losing the Madrid Open final to Aryna Sabalenka and was celebrating a solid week that will make her the top-ranked American woman on Monday.

World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka overcame a second-set fight by fourth seed Coco Gauff to secure a 6-3 7-6 (3) win and clinch her third Madrid Open on Saturday as the three-time major winner claimed her third title this year on the WTA tour.

Coco Gauff absolutely thought she could have done better in some areas during the Madrid Open final as the American acknowledged that she wasn't the happiest with her serve percentage. Bidding for her first title of the year, the 21-year-old fell short after Aryna Sabalenka handed her a 6-3 7-6 (3) defeat.
