It’s not available to everyone yet. Right now, Gemini in Calendar is part of Google Workspace Labs. To try it, you have to enroll in Google Workspace Labs first. This means going to the sign-up page, checking the right boxes, and then awaiting approval, which shouldn't take long.

I don’t have this particular Gemini ability on my Google account yet. It just started rolling out yesterday and is expected to reach completion by the middle of next month. It could be a few weeks before it reaches you.

Google is adding a dedicated button for adding events and meetings from any email to Google Calendar, without any work. Gemini AI can analyze your email and offer up ways to add events to your calendar with a press of a button.

Gemini will automatically detect calendar-related content in an email and present an “Add to calendar” button. After clicking the button, the side panel in Gmail will open to confirm the event has been added to the calendar.
