A man is in a critical condition in hospital after falling 20 feet from a stand onto the field of play at a Pittsburgh Pirates baseball game.

The man fell from the 21-foot Clemente wall onto the warning track at PNC Park in right field during the seventh inning of the Pirates game against the Chicago Cubs.

A fan attending the Wednesday night game between the Chicago Cubs and the host Pittsburgh Pirates fell out of the right field stands during the seventh inning and landed on the PNC Park warning track 21 feet below.
