Construction on the 1.2 million-square-foot supplier park is underway and expected to be completed in 2026, in time for the launch of the much-anticipated Rivian R2.

The state is counting on Rivian’s $120 million investment in the project to attract global investment and create new jobs.

Rivian said on Monday that it will invest $120 million to bring its key parts suppliers near its plant in Illinois, as the electric vehicle-maker seeks to lower the impact of U.S. President Donald Trump's tariffs on Mexico and Canada.
