A video review showed the student's foot was on the half-court line, but the school said it will step in to give him the prize money.

A UMass student who was initially denied​ a $10,000 prize after making a half-court shot will be getting the money after all.

But on Friday, UMass stepped in to rectify the situation, announcing that the school would award the $10,000 to Lee directly. “We weren’t satisfied with that outcome and arrived at the decision to provide Noah with both a $10,000 award and a host of additional UMass athletics benefits,” the school said in a statement.
