With a brand-new snowmaking storm approaching, watches and advisories have just been issued by the National Weather Service. A Winter Storm Watch covers most of the region (areas shown in crystal teal).

With that, the National Weather Service has canceled the winter storm watch and replaced it with a winter weather advisory, signaling expected lower snow totals. A winter storm watch remains over western Wisconsin.

The heaviest snow totals are expected in northern New Jersey, with lower snow totals forecast for Central Jersey.
