PITTSBURGH — Bruins captain Brad Marchand, clobbered into a corner by Penguins defenseman P.O. Joseph, exited play Saturday afternoon early in the first period, requiring help off the ice by a team trainer and teammate David Pastrnak.

The Boston Bruins suffered another significant blow on Saturday as captain Brad Marchand left their 3–2 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins with an undisclosed upper-body injury. Marchand was hit from behind by Penguins defenseman Pierre-Olivier Joseph in the first period, crashing into the boards and requiring assistance to leave the ice.

Marchand still believes in what the Bruins can accomplish: "We haven’t played our best yet. When we do, we can play with any team."
