A new lawsuit alleges operators of Camp Mystic in Central Texas ignored a flood watch before torrential rains caused the deadly disaster that claimed the lives of 25 young campers and two counselors last July.
Ellen is one of the 25 campers and two counselors, known as Heaven's 27, who died when the July 4 floods ripped through Kerr County, including Camp Mystic. Ellen was a camper in Bubble Inn, in which all campers and counselors died.
Under new management, Camp Heart O' the Hills will reopen for summer 2026 in a new location as the Ragsdale family passes the torch to the next generation following the Texas Hill Country floods.
