Baylor athletic director Mack Rhoades is taking a leave of absence from his duties with the Bears for personal reasons, according to Yahoo! Sports insider Ross Dellenger. Rhoades, who was serving as the chairman of the College Football Playoff selection committee, has now decided to step down from that role.

South College unveiled its new Dallas Campus on Wednesday in Farmers Branch. The college is focused on health care degree and training programs to address workforce shortages in the area. The campus includes several programs with specialized training labs and a dental clinic.

Dallas College, in partnership with the North Texas Food Bank, will open two of its campus pantries to the public on Saturday as the federal government shutdown continues and SNAP benefits remain suspended.

In its annual report, Children at Risk identified a North Texas high school, middle school and elementary school as the best in the state.
