Pakistan said Sunday it carried out airstrikes on militant camps across the border in Afghanistan, in a serious test of an uneasy peace between the neighbors.

Pakistani Air Force targeted a religious seminary in an attack on Bermal district in Afghanistan's Paktika province, Tolo News reporteted citing sources.

Pakistan said it killed 70 terrorists in military strikes targeting at least seven militant hideouts inside Afghanistan, describing the action as retaliation for recent rebel attacks in the country.
