Ragged but persistent Tropical Storm Bertha continued its slow crawl along the Gulf Coast on Thursday morning, bringing rain, wind and rough surf to coastal residents of Louisiana and Texas.

"Bertha is forecast to maintain tropical storm intensity until it reaches the upper Texas coast later today," the hurricane center said.
