Seth Rogen prefers not to speak about his past friendship with James Franco . Four months after Franco, 46, told Variety at the Rome Film Festival that he believed their friendship had run its course, Rogen, 42, shared his take on Franco's comments in a new cover story interview with Esquire .

James — who was hit with sexual misconduct allegations in 2018 — recently said he’s tried to tell Seth “how much he’s meant” to him but that their longtime friendship is “over.”

“No. I haven’t talked to Seth. I love Seth, we had 20 great years together, but I guess it’s over,” Franco told Variety last year. “And not for lack of trying. I’ve told him how much he’s meant to me.”

Seth Rogen hasn’t spent much time wondering about his old pal James Franco. In an Esquire interview last year, which the magazine published on Tuesday, Rogen, 42, admitted that he missed Franco’s comments because he doesn’t pay attention to much news.
