With the program in danger of missing its second NCAA Tournament in three years, North Carolina coach Hubert Davis has made it clear he wants to see his team play with a sense of "emergency" -- a standard he doesn't believe they met in Monday's 85-65 loss to Clemson.

Davis' squad better play with a sense of desperation. If it doesn't, that will raise more questions about his job security.

The loss now moves UNC to 1-10 in Quad 1 games and this season has the same feeling it did back in 2022-23. Barring a miracle run, North Carolina will miss the tournament for the second time in four seasons under Hubert Davis and now the talk about his job security continues to be in the focus.

UNC basketball sophomore guard Elliot Cadeau, now gearing up for the Tar Heels' road bout against the Clemson Tigers at 7 p.m. ET Monday (ESPN) after delivering five points and seven assists in his 28 minutes of action on Saturday, noted his thoughts on being able to celebrate victory again:
