Mark Byington will now be the Mark H. Carter and Family Men's Basketball Head Coach at Vanderbilt, after Carter endowed the head coaching position for the Commodores, the program announced in a release Tuesday.

The Vanderbilt Commodores basketball team knocked off its third consecutive ranked opponent on Saturday by beating No. 14 Missouri 97-93 in overtime. Head coach Mark Byington spent time with the media to talk about his program's success and their standing going into the final two games of the regular season.

Vanderbilt is hitting its stride at the perfect time as March Madness rears its head. After sitting on the bubble two weeks ago, they appear to have made their case with three consecutive wins over ranked opponents.
