Hawaii-born Wehiwa Aloy, 21, was named Western Athletic Conference freshman of the year in 2023 at Sacramento State before transferring.

By selecting the likes of Ike Irish, Caden Bodine, Wehiwa Aloy and Slater de Brun, the Orioles took full advantage of their treasure trove of draft picks.

The Orioles’ first three picks were Auburn catcher/corner outfielder Ike Irish (No. 19), Coastal Carolina catcher Caden Bodine (No. 30) and Wehiwa Aloy (No. 31). The No. 19 pick was the Orioles’ original first-round selection, while Nos. 30 and 31 were compensation for losing Corbin Burnes and Anthony Santander in free agency.

According to MLB.com in its latest mock draft, the Astros are likely to choose either Texas A&M outfielder Jace LaViolette or Arkansas shortstop Wehiwa Aloy, as experts believe Houston prefers hitters who are able to quickly move up the farm system.

Of 21 draftees, Boston selected 15 pitchers, all collegiate arms, and only one high school player across the board.

Baseball America listed Red Sox first round pick Kyson Witherspoon as one of 12 prospects from the 2025 MLB Draft who could reach the majors in 2026. The 15th overall pick out of Oklahoma, is up to 99 mph with his fastball and has a five-pitch mix.
