The Pittsburgh Steelers added a fresh face to their quarterback room by drafting Ohio State Buckeyes' Will Howard in the sixth round and 185th overall of the 2025 NFL Draft. Howard, who previously played at Kansas State before transferring, had an incredible season with the Buckeyes.

Former Ohio State quarterback Will Howard has said before how glad he is the Pittsburgh Steelers took him in the 2025 draft, but he recently expounded on those comments during an episode of former Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger's podcast.

Will Howard has been an underdog his entire career. A Pennsylvania kid, he had few offers coming out of high school, not even an offer from either of his home state teams, Penn State or the Pitt Panthers. He ended up heading to Manhattan, Kansas, to play for the Wildcats before transferring to Ohio State, where he would become a Buckeye legend.
