Mystics' Georgia Amoore Has ACL Injury, Was No. 6 Pick in 2025 WNBA Draft
The Mystics selected Amoore with the No. 6 overall pick in the 2025 WNBA draft two weeks ago following her highly productive collegiate career at Virginia Tech and Kentucky. A 5'6" guard from Australia, Amoore was a two-time All-ACC First Team selection and the 2023 ACC tournament MVP in 2023 during her time with the Hokies.

Amoore was the No. 6 overall pick of the WNBA draft this year, making her the highest selected Australian player since Liz Cambage in 2011. Amoore was set to play a huge role in the Mystics side, with the chance to start at point guard, however her untimely injury will likely see her face months on the sidelines.
