Nvidia is investing $500 million in Corning as part of a partnership with the glassmaker to expand manufacturing of fiber optics for AI infrastructure.

Corning and Nvidia are forming a partnership to drastically expand U.S. fiber and optical connectivity production, the companies announced Wednesday. Corning, the glass and fiber maker, will increase optical manufacturing capacity tenfold and fiber production by more than 50%.

Corning and Nvidia just announced a multiyear deal to expand U.S. manufacturing of the optical connectivity solutions essential to powering Nvidia's next-generation AI infrastructure. Corning is building three new factories entirely devoted to products for Nvidia in North Carolina and Texas.
