Star game just a slightly two weeks away, the association recently released the rest of the All-Star team members who will be joining the starters in San Francisco. The NBA All-Stars have been selected. The 10 players designated as starters were announced on Jan. 23, the remaining 14 players designated as reserves were revealed Thursday — and now, those 24 players will be drafted onto eight-player teams for the games that will be played on Feb.
On the other hand, Victor Wembanyama has been selected for the first time for the All-Star Game. The French center, who recently turned 21, has been chosen as one of the 14 reserves completing the rosters for the event on February 16 in San Francisco.
The NBA head coaches have to pick two guards, three frontcourt players and two "wild card" players at any position for the reserves. The West All-Stars have five frontcourt reserves in Davis, Jackson Jr., Sengun, Wembanyama and Jalen Williams.
At the beginning of the season, Maxey, Joel Embiid and Paul George were all expected to be among the players selected.
Joining Wembanyama as a West reserve are Jaren Jackson Jr., Jalen Williams, Anthony Edwards, Anthony Davis, James Harden and Alperen Şengün. The seven reserves from the East are Jaylen Brown, Pascal Siakam, Darius Garland, Evan Mobley, Cade Cunningham, Damian Lillard and Tyler Herro, as selected by the conference’s coaches.
Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker was not selected as a reserve for the 2025 NBA All-Star Game.
On Thursday night, Pistons guard Cade Cunningham earned the first All-Star selection of his career. The coaches voted him as a reserve for the Eastern Conference. Cunningham became the Pistons' first All-Star since Blake Griffin, in 2019.
