Gov. Andy Beshear advised Kentucky residents to be careful Wednesday as state crews work to remove snow from roads and monitor flooded areas.

The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory for parts of Kentucky and predicted 2-6 inches of snow, depending on the region.

Mitch McConnell announced Thursday he will not seek reelection. Gov. Beshear again said he's not interested in replacing him.
