CHARLOTTE — A magnitude 4.1 earthquake shook homes in Tennessee and North Carolina on Saturday morning. The earthquake occurred around 9 a.m. near the Tennessee-North Carolina border. The earthquake could be felt north of Atlanta, Georgia and east of Greenville, S.C. and Asheville, N.C., according to the United States Geological Survey.

Saturday morning, around 9:05 am, an earthquake in East Tennessee could felt as far as the Upstate. Preliminary reports have the quake at a 3.5 magnitude. Callers tell us they've felt it in nearly all our South Carolina viewing area, from Greenville, to Anderson, Oconee, Pickens, and Spartanburg Counties. North Georgia also felt the quake.
