Last night’s Oscars made history with the film No Other Land winning Best Documentary Feature, marking the first-ever Academy Award for a Palestinian filmmaker, co-directors Basel Adra and Hamdan Ballal. The two accepted the award on stage alongside their Israeli co-directors, journalist Yuval Abraham and filmmaker Rachel Szor.

As directors Yuval Abraham, Basel Adra, Hamdan Ballal, Rachel Szor took the stage to accept the best documentary Oscar for their work on "No Other Land," they took the opportunity to make a robust plea for "a political solution" to the war in Gaza.

The film tells the story of Palestinian activists fighting to protect their communities from demolition by the Israeli military.
