An alligator that appeared in numerous TV shows and films over three decades, most notably the 1996 Adam Sandler comedy “Happy Gilmore,” has died at a gator farm in southern Colorado.

The 640-pound, 11-foot gator memorably played a golf-ball-stealing, hand-chomping terror in the 1996 Adam Sandler film.

Happy Gilmore himself, Adam Sandler, confirmed Morris' death with a heartfelt message to the reptile on social media. It's unclear exactly how old the gator was, but TMZ Sports noted estimates had him being at least 80 years old based on his length and number of teeth lost.
