Spain forward Jenni Hermoso says that the guilty verdict given to Luis Rubiales for his unsolicited kiss after the 2023 Women’s World Cup final sets an “important precedent” for society and women’s rights.

Spain’s high court on Thursday found former soccer head Luis Rubiales guilty of kissing player Jenni Hermoso without consent.

"My heart is full of each person who was with me and will stay with me in this fight," the star footballer says, while reminding her followers there is "still much work to do".
