Syracuse native Kevin Roy shot a 6-under 65 in the final round to finish one shot back in a tie fir third place.

According to the PGA TOUR website, the player known as “The Grip” because of the strong grip he utilized, died on July 6.

The PGA Tour says Ed Fiori has died. He is best known for taking down a 20-year-old Tiger Woods in 1996 at the Quad City Classic.
