Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou believes beating Manchester United in next week's Europa League final would break the cycle of under-achievement and mark a turning point in the history of the north London club.

Spurs are approaching the end of a testing Premier League campaign, sitting 16th in the table with just 11 wins, but they have thrived in cup competitions, qualifying for the Europa League final after beating Bodo/Glimt on Thursday and also reaching the League Cup semi-finals earlier this year.

Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou believes winning the Europa League to end a 17-year trophy drought will change the perception of the club as one which "always fluffed it on the big stage."
