Officials in St. Cloud, Minnesota, reported that they found human remains on Sunday, which have since been identified as a Wisconsin woman reported missing nearly nine years ago. According to the Chippewa Falls Police Department,

Nearly nine years after the disappearance of Wisconsin mother Shannah Boiteau, authorities have announced that her remains have been found. The 23-year-old was last seen on June 22, 2016, along a highway outside St. Cloud, Minnesota. Dateline featured her story in our Dateline: Missing in America article series in August of that year.

Shannah Boiteau, 22, was last seen on June 22, 2016, running into a wooded area near Interstate 94 and County Road 74 after reportedly fleeing from a vehicle driven by her boyfriend. Despite extensive searches in the area, no trace of her was found at the time.
