The Denver Broncos have "checked in" on the trade status of disgruntled San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel, according to a report from Jordan Schultz of Fox Sports.

In his meeting with the 49ers' front office after the 2024 campaign, Samuel asked for a trade this offseason. San Francisco general manager John Lynch said he plans to honor Samuel's request at some point before the 2025 campaign, as the team needs to free up some salary-cap space with quarterback Brock Purdy due for a lucrative contract extension.

Per Chris Tomasson of the Denver Gazette, “dont expect to see” 49ers WR Deebo Samuel traded to Denver this offseason. Earlier this offseason, San Francisco granted Samuel’s trade requested and permitted him to seek out a trade partner.
