Semien was scratched from the lineup ahead of Wednesday's game against the Reds after falling victim to a stomach bug, but he appears to have made enough strides in his recovery overnight to return to action. He's gotten off to a slow start at the dish during Cactus League play, recording six hits in 32 at-bats.

Rangers manager Bruce Bochy said that Semien was scratched from Wednesday's lineup versus the Reds due to "a little stomach virus," Shawn McFarland of The Dallas Morning News reports. It sounds like the veteran second baseman should be ready to play in a day or two. Semien is 6-for-32 with a couple home runs so far this spring.
