San Francisco 49ers quarterback, the Mr. Irrelevant in the 2022 NFL Draft, Brock Purdy, signed a contract extension. Purdy agreed to sign a five-year, $265 million extension that includes $181 million guaranteed. After being drafted in the seventh round, 262nd overall, Purdy was the very last pick in the 2022 NFL Draft.

Brock Purdy’s journey from the final pick of the 2022 NFL draft to agreeing to this new contract has been a remarkable one.

Purdy was previously signed through the 2025 season on his four-year, $3.7 million rookie contract. While he was severely underpaid given his overall production during his first contract, he said after the 2024 campaign that he just wanted to come to terms on a new deal relatively quickly.
