The results, compiled with the assistance of independent cybersecurity researchers, highlight just how quickly these weak passwords can be cracked – 78% of them in under one second. Keyboard patterns dominated the most common password lists.

NordPass' annual list of the 200 most commonly used passwords finds that many people are leaving their accounts vulnerable to hacking, with '123456' once again taking the top spot.
