Originally hailing from Puerto Rico, Chaplain Alvarez is assigned to the 211th Military Police Battalion, Massachusetts National Guard — The Nation's First, and recently served as exercise #JustifiedAccord chaplain in Nanyuki, Kenya. #JA24 is U.S. Africa Command (AFRICOM)'s largest exercise in East Africa, which ran from Feb. 26 - March 7, and was led by U.S. Army Southern European Task Force, Africa, and hosted in Kenya.
