With tail cocked upwards, this Carolina Wren inspects the offerings at the Cornell feeders, bouncing from the suet feeder to snowman-shaped seed feeder. These hardy wrens thrive over much of the eastern United States. Icy, snowy winters can abruptly reduce local populations, but they soon recover.
