🏈On January 9, 1977 Super Bowl XI took place in front of 103,438 fans at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California. The John Madden coached Oakland Raiders defeated the Minnesota Vikings by the score of 32–14 to win their first Super Bowl. The Raiders became the first original AFL team to appear and win a Super Bowl in the post-merger era. Oakland gained a then Super Bowl record 429 yards, including a Super Bowl record 288 yards in the first half. The Raiders also had two 4th quarter interceptions,
