Designed for a scenic park drive 🌳… used like an expressway 🚗💨. The winding path of the Bronx River Parkway is part of the historic character that made it groundbreaking and ultimately National Register-worthy. The Parkway hugs the banks of the (cleaned-up) Bronx River, which naturally meanders. Mind you, 100 years ago, cars could barely go above 35 mph.
