In general we classify the helicopters used for wildfire fighting into three main categories: light, medium and heavy-lift. The size and specifications of a helicopter determine the type of tasks it may be assigned. Our medium-lift, or type two, helicopters are large enough to transport a crew of ten people and are often equipped with belly tanks.
